We are about half way complete on our build out of the space for Bellevue Baptist Church. We praise the Lord that we were allowed early entrance to start our part of the work while the contractor was building out the second bathroom. If that wouldn’t have happened, we would be roughly 3-4 weeks behind where we are now. With the work that was completed, we were able to have our dedication service, to dedicate the church and the building to the Lord. With multiple supporting churches in attendance we had a wonderful and moving service. Pastor Matt Farinella and I preached and we had great specials from Foundation and Woodin Valley members. We concluded the service with each family in attendance writing a prayer on the sanctuary floor which will be carpeted this coming Monday. We are looking forward to the time when we can look back at each of those prayers and praise God for His answers. With somewhere between 120-130 people in attendance, we proved that we can fit at least 84 people in the sanctuary comfortably. We also found out that it gets really hot with that many people!
We are continuing to build out the space and anticipate having it ready for services in August. The plan is to start services the first or second Sunday of August and then have a grand opening celebration the 18th of September when everyone is back from holiday vacations. Our grand opening celebration tracks are about ready to go to print and we will start canvasing for the 18th soon. Please be in prayer that we would be able to finish the work in time and that God would prepare the hearts of Bellevue.
